Mish Mash Monday

1) How was everyone's Mother's Day? Mine was great! Got up early (habit) and made my favorite breakfast: Crepes w/cream cheese filling. Worked on the computer all morning getting give aways and my regular posts started for the week. BBQ'd smokies for lunch, more computer and reading in the afternoon and made cottage cheese and also blueberry perogies for supper (I cheated and bought them from a local woman who makes them - they are amazing!). The evening consisted of more relaxing. I think I might have to take Monday off to recuperate from my "tiring" Mother's Day :)

Son 2 went shopping the other day with his girlfriend and she told him he had to buy me something for Mother's Day. Isn't she sweet? :) This is what I got. The lotions smell amazing!! I really like them! Don't you love the card? LOL

2) If you have time - please check out the give aways listed on the right sidebar. There are some really great ones ending at the end of this week :)

3)
Blog for this week:

Frugal Farmhouse is a wonderful blog I found a couple of weeks ago. She has menu plans on Mondays and I noticed that she posted a recipe for Lipton Onion Soup Mix! I use this quite a bit - will definitely be making my own! This is really a "must-read" blog!!

4) A couple of weeks ago I posted a recipe for Laundry Detergent. I've been using it every since and really really like it! It works as well as any of the other commercial detergents I've bought. Had coffee with my Sister-in-law last week and we were wondering about what other products that we are paying WAY to much for and could make ourselves. Would love to find a recipe for dish detergent! Might have to go looking and see what I can find.

5) I mentioned a few MMM's ago that I had purchased this really cute soap from Lolli Luscious! They arrived on Friday. The boys thought they were little cheese cakes :)

I left the wrapping on them. Now what do I do? They are just too cute to use!! I also ordered two body washes: One in Raspberry Truffle and the other in Blueberry-licious. They are for my niece for her birthday. I opened the cap so I could smell them - they smell wonderful!! They are on sale right now and shipping is only 99 cents!! Can't beat that! She actually has quite a few items on sale right now. They are all listed on the front page of her shop.

HAVE A GREAT WEEK EVERYONE!!

  1. Glad to hear you had a great Mother's Day! You were much more ambitious than me, I relaxed, played trucks with the little dude, had a nap and then had to go to work (the downside of working in a restaurant).

I love your little soaps! Bath and body products are also a weakness of mine. Glad to have found a new shop to scout!

Glad the weekend was great. I admit I'm jealous that you get your posts ready early. I can't seem to do that!
