Friday Feature - Beautiful Mosaics

I live in Rhinebeck, NY, which is 100 miles north of NYC, and on the banks of the Hudson River.

Reclaimed Designs is all about using vintage and junk finds to redesign into something new, all featuring a mosic design.

I started my business to do something with all of the mosaics that I was creating. I have always been a collector of rusty, bent, cracked, distressed items, and I love shopping at flea markets and garage sales searching for objects to recycle into useful and decorative mosaics.

I love delicate china designs, and bold colors. I have to control myself from collecting so many pieces of vintage silverware,china, hooks and skeleton keys. I am most inspired by nature. My designs are never planned,they happen as I make them.

I have enjoyed making every mosaic in my shop and those that are not posted yet. I have to be satisfied with what I make, otherwise I won't put it in my shop.
