However - there is still a foot of snow on my garden - and we have a blizzard warning for today and a wind chill warning!! This is what the weather looks like for us for the next few days.
I copied and pasted this at 6:40 am, so the -22C (-7.6F) is for that time of the morning. Do you see why I am waiting for spring? These temps are in Celcius. This weather is insane!! HELP!!
Spring is only 10 days away!!! Can you tell? I can't.
It was pointed out to me in a comment - I didn't mention what I was planting!! Here goes:
bi-color corn, carrots, cucumbers, pumpkins (small pie type), winter squash, tomatoes, onions, trying asparagus for the first time, and a variety of peppers.
i cant wait for spring! its cold here too this week, but hopefully in a few more weeks it will finally be nice! what are you planning to put in your garden?
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful bounty. I usually wait until the mid May to start planting.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness that is cold! Stay warm and cozy indoors this week. Just have all your gardens plans ready so that you can jump right in and start digging the first warm day you get.
ReplyDeleteoooo sounds like a really good garden! also sounds like a lot of work!
ReplyDeleteIt is the same temperature here too and there is a TON of snow in my yard! Will Spring EVER arrive??
ReplyDeletethe weather has been so screwy lately, here at least! we will go from 75 today to 30 tonight to high of 40 tomorrow! no wonder i am sick! lol
ReplyDeleteOooh, a vegetable garden, I'm so jealous! I've always wanted to start one, but my herb garden has always been so pathetic I'm afraid to. ;)
ReplyDeleteVegetable gardens are great.....if you like to cook! Rec'ing your seeds is a sure sign. We are still under over a foot of snow, too, but even the chipmunks have cabin fever, and are out and about!
ReplyDeleteYour garden plans sound wonderful! Here in AZ I think I'm almost too late to plant... I still keep thinking I'm going to do it and then I don't. I just need to get out and do it. It's almost hot here already! =)
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing pictures of that garden!
