Sew Suzanne

Suzanne from Kinderhook, NY has the most wonderful shop on Etsy, Sew Suzanne. This shop has the cutest pillowcase favors, belts, bags, pillowcases, and sheets. There are many items for sale in her shop right now - just check for the sale section! I actually found Suzanne through her amazing blog - At Home With Sew Suzanne. I love to read this blog and she updates almost daily.

#1. How did you decide on your shop name?
Well, I just liked the way it sounded. I think someone once said something about a bag being so me - and I thought huh, SoSuzanne, which became SewSuzanne! I really like it. It's Sew me!

#2. When did you start crafting?
Well, always I think! I am the last of 6 kids, and the 4th girl. My mom has been a crocheter and knitter my whole life, and we have always been crafty. All my sisters have something that they are really good at doing in the craft world.

#3. Are there other crafts you would like to try?
Hmmm. Not really sure. I have tried and done so many. Sewing and creating have always been a passion for me. My sister and I even hand made my senior prom dress!

#4. What or who inspires you?
Another tough yet easy one. My mom first and foremost. All 3 of my sisters. And truly other moms who are giving their all while raising their kids. I always say, if they can do it then so can I!! And mostly from the love of an amazing husband who has made all my dreams come true. And some I didn't know I had!!!

#5. Do you have a day job?
Well, I am a stay at home mom with 2 daughters 6yr and 4yr, 3 dogs 1-100lb, 2 50-60 lbs 3 25-30 lbs, 2 cats. I home school the girls and help my husband with marketing and such for his job as a loan officer. I am head cook, house cleaner, laundy fairy and all around go to girl. But no, I don't have a day job :)

#6. What is the item in your shop you enjoyed making the most and why?
Oooh good one. Um, I guess the bags. Beacause they always take on a life of their own while I am making them. That is why I haven't created one in awhile. They are a bit time consuming. But I have alot of ideas in my head that I'd like to get to work on.
