ORIENTAL RICE PILAF
1 cup rice, uncooked
1 3/4 cups beef broth
1 tsp garlic, minced
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil (I used veg. oil)
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1 bunch green onion, sliced
1/4 cup red bell pepper, minced
In medium saucepan, combine rice, beef broth, garlic, chopped onion, soy sauce, oil and red pepper flakes. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Cover and cook for 15 minutes until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed. Stir in green onions and red bell pepper. Fluff with a fork and serve.
I also threw in a tin of sliced mushrooms just for fun :)
