1) I've managed to paint the ceiling in the craft room yesterday. I hate painting ceilings!!!!! I used paint with primer in it - sure cuts down on the coats of paint needed. Walls - this week!
2) Blog of the week!
This is a wonderful blog, so much fun to visit :) Every Friday she posts pictures of herself from years ago with the story behind the picture. You also get to see weekly items she's making, beautiful pictures she's taken, and once a week or so she has a guest post on another blog - but links to it so we can read that too. This is definitely a blog you should check out - never a boring moment!!
3) I love to read! Finding the Tuesday Teaser meme was wonderful. Now every Tuesday I can see what other people are reading and get great ideas for summer books. The only draw back is that my list to read is way longer than my summer will be :)
I had been writing all the books down in a notebook, but then I noticed a widget on one of the other blogs that I just had to have. It's from Goodreads. Every time I find a book I want to read - I just go to the site, search it and add it to my "to read" list and it shows up on my blog!! Now I don't have to worry about loosing the paper I write them down on!
4) The trees are finally starting to bud and my rhubarb is coming up nicely!! Can't wait to make some rhubarb pie, muffins, rhubarb crisp etc!!
HAVE A GREAT WEEK EVERYONE!!
A friend told me about GoodReads, but I'm already using Shelfari, that is essentially the same thing!
ReplyDeleteYay for painting being done faster!
Yay! Rhubarb...;-) I am also in the painting mode..sitting room primed yesterday..painting today. My arm hurts just thinking about it...;-)
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love Spring!?!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on finishing the ceiling. Makes my neck hurt, just thinking of it! LOL
Have a wonderful day Audrey!
Hmmm, Audrey ~ it doesn't seem to me that you are at a loss as to what to post. LOL Good stuff! Lots of information and fun to read. Always enjoy your posts! Karen
ReplyDeleteI love rhubarb, my mom and dad had a patch when I was a kid...it is a rite of spring for sure.
ReplyDeleteI am going to have to look into that primer in the paint, I need to repaint the kitchen after our little fire.
Well I just spit my coffee out because i've been staring at my craft room ceiling ( which I didn't paint last year ) and the walls which I didn't finish this morning thinking I've got to get off my @$$ !!! Hahaha thanks for that push ! : ) Have an awesome week !
ReplyDeleteAw Audrey, you are too sweet! I share the love right back at ya :) Painting ceilings....ICK!!!! I've only done it once and I was convinced I was going to blind with all of the paint I got in my eyes (and that was while wearing glasses, mind you). By the end of it, my back hurt, my neck hurt and my arms were numb. Never again!!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't ventured to googlereads yet, but I just might have to.
ReplyDeleteI hate painting ceilings, but I love painting walls.
painting ceilings is not one of my favorite things to do. I think I end up with more paint on myself than I do the ceiling.
ReplyDeleteCool widget. Very handy for a person like me who always loses the paper list.
Gotta check out your blog of the week too, sounds like a good one.
Olá, passei prá conhecer seu blog. Lindo!!! Venha conhecer o meu. Moro no Brasil. bjs: Tia Ném.
ReplyDeleteGosh I have missed reading you Audrey!! You always have wonderful posts. Best of luck with your Rhubarb..... reminds me of my childhood.... We would dip it in sugar and eat it raw in my neighborhood... lots of farms and gardens had it growing....
