Black Hills South Dakota Part 2

I love art - almost any kind.  But wood and metal are probably my favorites.  Oh - and glass!  This metal horse is one of the first things we say on the street across from the restaurant our first evening in Hill City.  The artist used all different types of metal tools to make the parts of the horse.

Isn't it amazing?

Just down the street where two guys making wood sculptures using chainsaws and grinders.

How do they do that?

  3. You wouldn't think some rusty tools put together would be beautiful, but that horse truly is!

  5. These sculptures are fascinating! I'm especially drawn to the swirly parts on the body of the horse. I just think this looks like such a cool place! If I ever travel there, you will definitely cross my mind. ;-)
