FAVORITE RECIPE:

LEMON POPPY SEED MUFFINS (one of Logan's favorites)

2 cups biscuit/baking mix

1/4 cup poppy seeds

1/4 teaspoon grated lemon peel

2 eggs

1 cup milk

1/4 cup vegetable oil

In a large bowl, combine the baking mix, pudding mix, poppy seeds and lemon peel. In another bowl, combine the eggs, milk and oil; stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fill paper-lined muffin cups two-thirds full. Bake at 375° for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack. 3. Well as per your question....
My favorite part of Christmas is our family tradition of "slapping the turkey before it goes into the oven"
We have been doing this as long as I can remember.
for some reason a turkey is even more delicious if you slap it before it gets cooked.
In fact who ever is cooking the turkey can expect to get several phone calls on Christmas morning from other family members making sure they have slapped the turkey.

    It always makes me laugh!

Nice to have you join us on Can-eh

    ((((hugs))))

  4. My favorite part of Christmas is without a doubt getting together with all my family. I have the BEST family. Never any arguing or petty remarks, just love, laughs, lots of sharing news and always fuzzy memories to make.My son usually takes pictures,we drink hot tea with lots of cream, remember those we miss who have already passed on and cherish the times we have together.

  5. Simply gorgeous ornaments Audrey...I would love to be entered. What do I love about Christmas? The warmth, the love, the sharing, the food we eat only at that time, decorating, putting smiles on other people's faces...

  6. I'm back... I was so involved leaving my post that I forgot to mention my favorite part of Christmas... I would have to say being together with family tops the list but also driving around and looking at all the Christmas lights is a tradition of ours. I just love to do the decorating and, of course, candles in the windows is a favorite!

  7. I'm back too!
I also forgot to mention my favorite thing about Christmas.
I love receiving Christmas cards. I always expect to get one from family members that I don't get to see often. They will send up-to-date pictures of their family and write a letter telling me what has been going on in their lives.
And then there's the homemade fudge and peanut brittle.

  9. My favorite part of Christmas is going to Midnight Mass. It's even better if it is gently snowing when you come out - snow gently falling and the bell ringing. Glorious.

Very pretty ornaments Audry. You are a very talented lady.
