Saturday Shopping

Yes - I've been shopping on Etsy :) Ever since the New Year began I've been looking for a desktop calendar for beside the computer. Was searching all over Etsy for the perfect one (beautiful pictures, not to expensive, affordable shipping etc.) Finally I found the perfect one!! I've borrowed the picture from the shop - can't take a decent picture of all the months when you only have one calendar :)



Shana Creations is an amazing shop! Shana actually only lives about 70 miles north of me. If money were growing on trees - I would definitely buy this from her shop:http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=40638610.

There is one shop on Etsy that is my "go to" shop for blank note cards. Peculiar Parchment always has a wonderful variety of amazing note cards in different styles and sizes! This was my purchase this time:



You know how I love handmade soap :) Sample sizes are wonderful to send along as an "extra" when someone purchases something from you shop. I'm always looking for new shops that have sample soaps, and I found another wonderful shop! Soap Star is a newer shop on Etsy. I purchased these soaps:

I've only tried the coffee vanilla one - LOVE IT!! You can never have enough coffee :)

Wed. Wish List 2

Ok - today's Wish List comes from ArtFire. There are quite a few shops on both ArtFire and Etsy, but I have found some amazing shops that are only ArtFire shops. It's a great place to shop and to sell. Haven't sold anything there yet, but I've only been on it 3 weeks. Luckily I'm a patient woman :) (ha ha)

ReUsable

After doing a few features on recycling/upcycling shops I started to look at shops listing reusable items. There are actually quite a few on Etsy. I was quite impressed by the wide range of reusable products available. When I think re-usable, I think bags, diapers, dish cloths/wash cloths, etc. But I found a few surprises too. (click on pics to go to shop)

Let's start with what most people would think of as "reusable". Produce bags (no more plastic ones), wash/dish clothes (work wonderfully), diapers (so soft and cozy), lunch/snack bags (much prettier than a ziplock bag), tote/shopping bag (very classy, no more plastic), lunch bucket (you'll be the talk of the lunch room!).









And then I found some items I would never have thought of! Dryer sheets (no more smelly bounce!), swiffer cover (think of all the money you'll save), message/bulliten board (beautiful), post it note holder (can never have to many post it notes), knitted apple sack (no more bruised apples in the lunch!), a cotton soap saver sack (no more slimey soap!)
