*or something I haven't tried yet.
*or any combination of the above.

You can make requests, if I have it or can make it - it's yours.
Items will not be like those in the pictures, these are examples only.

Our youngest son had some excitement this week. Logan was taking Diesel Mechanics as a vocational course in school. He is in Grade 11 this year, but has gone as far as he can with the mechanics courses, and is now a Diesel Mechanic Apprentice. That means that he now has to buy a tool box and his own tools. So on Tues. Brad and Logan met the local Snap On dealer to check out tool boxes and Logan bought one!! Very exciting stuff. He had the Snap On dealer deliver it to work, so we went to town today to take some pics of it. I haven't seen it yet and Luke wanted to see some pics of it too.

I think I'm hooked on the auther Kay Hooper. Almost finished the third book in this trilogy she wrote. It's as good as the first two. Still reading the "Stephanie Plum" series too. They are so different I don't have to worry about forgetting what is happening in which book.

Did you have anything exciting happen during the week? Tell us about it.
Please check out the give away on my other blog. The link is on the right at the top.  If anyone is interested in having a give away - I'm looking for items for May and June.
Hope everyone has an awesome Sunday!!

New items

It's been a long week - the first 5 day school week in probably 1.5 months. We've had 6 days of cancellations since Christmas, plus holidays, and PD days. Oh well - only one more week till Spring Break!!

I did manage to get some sewing done this week and made 2 raggedy bags and some coasters. They are so much fun to sew, once all the cutting and assembly of squares is done.

Brad had a meeting in the city yesterday. Got to spend time at Michaels while he was at his meeting. It was so nice being able to be there for 1.5 hours without someone asking me if I was done yet, or saying "do you really need that"? "How much more do you need?" Then - "I'll go wait in the truck - take your time." But you know the "take your time" part isn't what he really means. This is some of the stuff I bought.

The wool I'm going to bring to my Grandma and see if she can knit me a scarf. She is 93 years old and still knitting. Thought it would be a good idea to get a scarf now. She isn't getting any younger. Oh- Grandma is also blind (not from birth).

UPDATE:
This is the creek this morning - have picks of it on tues. post. It's on the lowest part of the yard now. The shed in the one pic is on the neighbors yard. I pick up the neighbors children on my bus run. Now I have to drive 8 extra miles to get to their house. Crazy!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend so far!

Look what I bought and an Award

Went shopping yesterday. Stopped at a fabric store that I happen to have a membership at. All flannel was 50% off for members! My lucky day! I also needed some jean material to make bags for our ATV helmets, that was on sale too! This is what I bought:

The front 3 piles are for bags and coasters. Still trying to figure out how I will make the coasters, trying a few different designs. This is one (just plain squares):

The large piles of ivory are flannel that I will use for between the layers when I sew the raggedy bags.

THE SISTERHOOD AWARD!

This award was received from Kayz Kreationz. This is a wonderful award! I'd like to thank her for the award. Please go visit her blog - it's a lovely one!! I enjoy going to visit it. But also please check out her shop: Kayz Kreations for the most amazing stained glass and fused glass items. She has the cutest tea light holders and a wonderful bird feeder!

Now I can share the award with some other great blogs I follow. Here's how it works:

1. Put the logo on your blog or post.
2. Nominate at least 5 blogs which show great Attitude and/or Gratitude!
3. Be sure to link to your nominees within your post.
4. Let them know that they have received this award by commenting on their blog.
5. Share the love and link to this post and to the person from whom you received your award.

I have a terrible time picking blogs to give these awards too. There are so many that I go to read on a regular basis. So I'm going to give the award to the last 5 blogs that commented on my blog. Please check them out - they are truely wonderful reads!!

Off to let them know about their award - then it's time to make breakfast!! Have a wonderful day!!

Fantastic Finds!!

When I first decided to do these "treasuries" every Friday I didn't know how hard it would be to pick only 12 shops each week! WOW! There are so many wonderful items on Etsy to choose from. Then I managed to get one "real" Treasury West on Wed. , and used the items I had picked for today. So I had to start all over. But I managed to "find" other awesome items it a very short time. Here are this weeks picks. Please click on the pics & go see these wonderful shops!!
